Meet Jessica

Putting community first.

I’m Jessica Gray, and I’m running for Boca Raton City Council, not as a politician, but as a resident committed to preserving the essence of our community. For too long, our city has been guided by interests that prioritize unchecked development over the people and places that make Boca special. I vow to do something different: listen to residents, honor our neighborhoods, protect our green spaces, and vote with the community, not special interests. As a boater, diver, kayaker, and paddleboarder, I care deeply about protecting the quality of life we enjoy, (on the water and around it) and I love taking full advantage of Boca’s parks, trails, and outdoor spaces that bring our community together.

Since moving to Boca Raton in 2004 to attend FAU, I’ve seen firsthand how rapid development has eroded our beaches, parks, and quality of life. While growth is necessary, sustainable development has often been overlooked, and our city is paying the price.

My passion for community, nature, and marine conservation fuels my advocacy. As the Founder of Boca Save Our Beaches, I have organized 550+ beach cleanups, launched weekly water quality testing at four sites to protect public health, and led educational initiatives on marine debris. These efforts have brought together 2,500+ volunteers, covered 417+ miles of coastline, and generated countless hours of community service. I also authored two educational workbooks now used in elementary schools to teach children the importance of protecting our oceans and speaking up to make a difference.

I have served on the City of Boca Raton’s Environmental Advisory Board and Sustainability Advisory Board, helping pass ordinances to protect our environment. As former Vice President of  Central Park HOA, I advocated for responsible decisions and community engagement. My entrepreneurial background and experience in technology further equip me to tackle Boca’s challenges.

Having lived across Boca Raton, from Boca Teeca to the barrier island, I care deeply about every neighborhood. When I’m not working, you’ll find me volunteering, exploring Florida’s ecosystems, and frolicking beneath the waves.

I believe in leaving things better than we found them (you'll often hear me say that). That’s why I’m running, to protect Boca’s future, safeguard our beaches and green spaces, and restore residents’ voices in city decisions.

Together, we can preserve Boca Raton for future generations.
